Wirral Waters is one half of Peel Waters; two complimentary and balanced waterside projects on either side of the River Mersey. It is the largest and most visionary regeneration project in the UK. And most importantly, it is an opportunity for Wirral to enter a new stage in its evolution.
The site is divided into distinct areas or quarters. East Float will establish a series of five different quarters each with its own character and approach to design. These quarters are Sky City, Northbank West, Four Bridges, Marina View and Vittoria Studios.
The scheme will include a mixture of commercial, tourism, educational and cultural activities as well as up to 13,200 new homes, and will provide truly 21st Century ways of living and working in a highly sustainable way.
Once constructed, it is estimated that the East Float development will deliver over 20,000 new jobs and be home to up to 30,000 new residents over a period of 30 years.
The West Float will be retained for traditional Port activity and is the location for the proposed Peel International Trade Centre (ITC).
